Wondering what to do for the rest of the holiday break this December? Here's some family friendly ideas to keep you busy this holiday season!

Outdoor Skating at the Olympic Plaza
Free-to-use outdoor skating rink in the heart of Calgary. The Olypmic Plaza is open from 10 am - 9 pm daily. Public bathrooms are available and skate rentals are provided on site through Skate Hut.

Airdrie Festival of Lights
On until December 31st, the Airdrie Festival of Lights (AFOL) is the largest, free, outdoor walk-through Christmas Light Display in all of Western Canada! The festival first started in 1996, and is located just a short drive from Calgary, in the heart of Nose Creek Park, Airdire AB.

Hosted by the Calgary Zoo, ZOOLights runs from 5 pm - 9 pm and runs until January 10th . Admission is $14.95 for children (3-15), and $19.95 for general admission (16+).

Bowness Park
Ice skating pathways and Skibike rentals available. Open daily from 8 am - 10 pm until January 3rd. Rental prices start at $12 an hour for skates, or 3 hours for $20. Ice bikes are $12 for 30 minutes, or $20 for an hour.
